Self-Made! Knife Forging Master Course in Eastern Hokkaido

A premium intensive course over 2 nights and 3 days, where participants will learn the fundamental skill of crafting their own knife (and leather sheath) - which is a “lifetime” value - from instructor Seto, who has roots in Seki City, Gifu Prefecure, a renowned production site for ancient Japanese swords Katana. Note: Please refrain from posting on social media about the course scenes (reviewing on your own is, of course, allowed).

2-night stay at the "Matankikur Huntsman Woods’ Lodge" (1 hectare of land, overlooking the Shibetsu River, with Ezo foxes, Ezo deers, and red-crowned cranes)

8 minutes by car from Nemuro Nakashibetsu Airport (Japan's easternmost airport) to the "Matankikur Huntsman Woods’ Lodge"

All necessary equipment for the course is provided (participants will take home the knife and sheath they create).

As it is an intensive course for personal growth and self-reliance, meals are preferably self-cooked by each participant (guidance to nearby supermarkets, etc., based on participants' requests will be provided).

One serving of Ezo deer BBQ is provided.

3 minutes by car to 100% natural hot spring (with an outdoor bath)

Evenings include outdoor gatherings around a bonfire, stargazing (weather permitting), and an appreciation of the lodge owner's knife collection — enjoy valuable interactions and time unique to a small group!
